The Central and Eastern Europe Centre Association

Association Supporting the East-West Contacts

The Central and Eastern Europe Centre Association was founded as a non-profit organization in 2005 and is situated in the Central and Eastern Europe Centre in the Städtisches Kaufhaus in Leipzig.

It aims at supporting the contacts between the West and the East European cultures. Special importance is attached to the organization of information and discussion forums dealing with contemporary issues of the Central and East European regions. In addition, it plans and realizes both intercultural citizen meetings and exchange programmes for pupils, adolescents and students.

Primary co-operation partners are the Central and East European countries of the last EU enlargement as well as Russia and the Ukraine. The association acts as initiator and co-ordinator of all these projects and supports the companies holding offices in the Central and Eastern Europe Centre by providing an artistic and cultural setting for their economic initiatives.
